  1. About a mile from Dromcollogher a very convenient road was made. It was made in the year 1899. It connects the Gardenfield road and the main road from Dromcollogher to Kilmeedy. It was made by an old gentleman named John O'Leary, who lived in gardenfield and who kept a lot of race horses. It is said when he would be trainig his horses he rode them in to Feenagh and up to Kells and over the new road and down to gardenfield.
    In this locality there are also a lot of shortcuts through the fields. On our way to school we have
