Mostly every farmer in this locality keeps cows, horses, pigs, calves, geese, ducks, hens, turkeys and goats and a very few keep sheep.Mostly every farmer sprinkles holy water around the farm and around the cowhouse on May eve and burns all the hairs off the cows udder.
Long ago a man by the name of William O'Sullivan told a story about how he used to go out to the cowhouse every May eve to see the cows and he used to see a big white cat under the cows heads and when the cat would see him he would run out the door, and one of the cows looked as if somebody was after milking her.
