  1. There is a treasure supposed to be hidden in a field near the townland of Pallas and the sun is always shining on it. We are not certain what it contains, but it is believed to be a crock of gold.
    It is believed that there was a very rich man living there, and before he died he got some of his servants to bury the gold, and there is a wolf supposed to be minding it. Some men went to dig it up one time, but the wolf followed them.
    It was also believed in olden times that if anyone tried to take it, they would get the falling sickness.
    Lights used to be seen there long ago, but there is no light ever seen there now.
    That light as we hear, set some men astray, who were coming from work, as they thought
