    such as a halo round the new moon, and if the new moon, appears turned like a hook, bad weather can be expected for a week or two
    Mostly all animals have an instinct to forecast change of weather. Pigs are restless in their houses, before rain, cows are also restless and very excited before thunder comes.
    The crows fly high for fine weather, and they fly low when it is going to rain.
    The same applies to swallows and other birds.
    Storms can be foretold by the appearance of the clouds, such as red copper etc.
    Southern and western winds bring heavy rain.
    Any old person suffering from rheumatism, can easily foretell teh change in the weather, as the pains become worse and worse
    The chimney also gets affected.
