The unfortunate raider was placed under arrest, he was brought back to Ireland and hanged for the murder. The coffin incident was told to Martin Moylan by a man named Nash who was in the employment of Major Hare and the only civilian who attended the funeral. Two of the Culhanes of Riddlestown were in this whiteboy raid.
