- 1 During Xmas there is holly placed in the houses in honour of Our Lord. There are candles lighted also.2 On Palm Sunday the people place palm in their houses3 On Easter Saturday the people get Easter water for the year.4 On May day the people get holy water and shake it around the place and on the animals.
Long ago the people used to go to the abbey and around the shore to gather moss. When they had a lot of it, they would put it on the thatch(continues on next page)
