- (continued from previous page)Chilblains:- Shake salt over the chilblain, then cut a lemon in two and rub on over the salt.
Cure No. 2 Rub goose grease at night before the fire for a week and the chilblain will disappear.
" " No. 3 Rub the chilblain with paraffin oil to-night and rub with a cut onion to-morrow night and so on alternately.Blackheads: Can be cured by holding face over steam for about twenty minutes. Then bruise them out and apply olive oil to the affected parts.
Blackheads arise from impure blood and can be prevented by taking a good blood tonic. Nothing can excel the old familiar blood purifier composed of 4 tablespoons of Treacle, 2 of sulphur and 2 of cream of Tartar.
Dose: a tablespoon full at morning and double the amount at night for a week. Drop off then for a week and begin and do the same for the third week as you did for the first.(continues on next page)- Informant
