  1. 1) Mrs Taylor and her daughter fell into the Shannon at Donass. She rescued her daughter but was drowned herself in 1925.
    2) There was a girl drowned in Knockaunbawn, she came out for a barrel of water to the river and it swept herself and the jennet away but the jennet was not drowned in 1920.
    3) There was a boat turned up side down in Plaxy and four men lost their lives in 1930.
    4) There was a house burned in Ballina at Mheoghs in 1937.
    5) Mount Shannon Manor was burned during the Black and Tans in 1921.
