    Tops
    Spinning tops is a very nice open air pastime. There is a cord wound around the top and a whip is got. The top is Put spinning and it is whipped while spinning.
    Boys make tops from spools. They get a little stick and point it at one end and drive it down through the hole in the spool. They cut away one end of the spool.
    Colours
    The scholars stand up against a wall while one scholar comes and gives each a different colour. Two other children take the place of "angel" and "devil". The game begins. The person who gave out the colours calls out "Who comes here" . The "devil" answers - "A devil from hell with a long tail". The person who gave out the colours says - "What do you want". Devil answers - "colours". Person who gives out the colours says - "What colours". Devil answers white
