  2. In olden times there were no schools. The teachers used to teach school in old cabins and at the back of hills. They used to teach school by night and sometimes by day. There was an old house in Cummer and there was a man by the name of Grace who used to teach school in it. Sometimes the people used bring teachers to their children in their homes.
    The used teach mostly all Irish at that time and talk it. They had no pens or pencils but the used make pens from quills and pencils from nice stones.
    The man that used teach in that old house was
