    get four sticks and sprig them together at one end then weave other sticks in and out between them when this is done put a stick under it and tie a long cord out of the stick have bread crumbs or meal under the crib when the birds come to pick the crumbs pull the stick and the crib falls down over the bird and the bird is held within it this crib is used in winter when the birds are looking for food. A snare for catching rabbits is a very easy thing to be made; the way to make a snare is to get a ring of snare wire and put it round a small pot get the end of the wire and double the wire six times the wire can be doubled four, six and eight times leave a loop at the end where the wires double when this is done cut the snare from rest of the wire then get a pot lid and hold the loop in one finger and put the other end in the handle of the lid and swing the pot lid round until the snare is twisted up, then put the end into the loop and tie a strong cord to the end and tie that cord to a strong peg this peg is driven down in the ground when set for a rabibit. the way to set a snare is to go to a rabbit path in a field and drive the peg down in the ground and have another little peg and it split at one end drive the little peg down in the ground again and put the snare in the split in the little peg then bring back the loop as far as the little peg then the snare is set.
