  1. On the townland of Rathmanaugh (the monk's rath) are the ruins of a little church. There are no remains of a graveyard tho' it was once there for certain. Nothing is known of the church except that it is mentioned in the Papal Taxation of 1291 as having to pay the sum of 4 marks. An old road passed by the ruin coming from Ballygamane over the Drish + out to Coalfields
    Fine rath beside the ruins.
