Nor worthy Sir Wheeler who cheered us in sorrow
"Though passed be Joe's sentence" to friends he did say
"The vessel that takes him must with him return
And land him in Erin from Bottany Bay."
As a writer of genius my tale has recorded
The hole in the ballad my friends can't deny
I'll close my last poem with a cheer for our Clergy
And welcome the Naughtons with rapture and joy.
Where the wolf did once prowl the lamb is now ranging
Resigned and forgiven I'll go to my grave
As the hand of a Naughton from the tower of Killaghy
The banner of freedom in glory does wave.
