  1. Warts are cured by rubbing a snail on them three times. Then the snail is stuck on a thorn
    According as the snail withers away so does the wart
    Chilblains are cured by putting iron water on them which can be found in any forge
    Bleeding of the nose is stopped by putting a key down the back or a piece of white paper under the tongue
    A toothache is cured by putting pepper on the tooth or by a smoke from a pipe.
    A sore throat can be cured by putting salt on a scarf and putting it around the neck going to bed at night
    Rash is cured by putting on a poultice of penny leaves a couple of times in the day
    Yellow jaundice is cured by drinking boiled ale and the leaves of a barberry tree (not the leaves but the inside yellow bark of the Barberry Tree: lump sugar and ale.
    Sore eyes are cured by the juice of an ivy-leaf
