    There is a story about the crossbill and here it is:
    When Jesus was nailed upon the cross the little bird tried to pull the nails out and crossed his bill in doing so.
    Another story is about the robin. The robin was flying about the cross when a drop of blood fell on him and he has carried the mark to this day.
