  1. When Catholics were not wanted.
    Some time Catholics could not practise their faith. The Protestants used to go around and try to turn them to the Protestant faith. The priest used to go to certain caves and houses to say Mass. There is a story told about a priest who was killed by the Protestants.It is told in the form of a song as follows:

    Good people all both young and old I hope you will attend
    For here in grief and sorrow these feeling lines I pen
    For to attend a dying man our priest was brought away
    And with a billhook keen and sharp his life was taken away
