- A legend says that the Rock of Cashel
was a mouthful brought by Satan from
the Devils Bit Mountains in the north-
west of Templemore. It is situated in
one of the richest districts in Ireland.
It is the grandest and most ancient

Galtees raise their peaks to about three

capital of Munster and the seat of
the high-kings.
