    Two men were going to a neighbouring house one night card playing.

    Two men were going to a neighbouring house one night card playing. They had to go through fields and when coming near the the house they were going out over a stile one of the men went out before the other. As he did not follow him at once. He said "are you coming. he got now answer so he looked back and saw that something in the shape of a dog had hold of him. The man screamed and jumped and he was let off. He went home and never went out in the night after.
