- There is a blessed well situated in the townland of Caherea. The name of it is Saint Bridget's well. It is a well for sore eyes. People come there once every year to perform rounds. They come there the 16th of August. While the people are doing the rounds they take off there shoes and stockings. When they start the round they say five our Fathers and five hail Mary's. Going around they say the round of their beads. They go around five times the fifth time they in towards on their knees. Then they drink some of the water and wash their eyes in it. People leave money, medals, and flowers at this well. every year. There is also a cure in the moss growing near the well. People bring it home to rub to their eyes and bring it back again.
