    Then the top stone is turned by one of the handles
    When the top stone is turned it grinds the grain and then the grain is swept on to bags that are left around the lower stone
    These querns are now called hand-mills
    They used also make stampy of raw potatoes
    First of all they used to peel raw potatoes and then they grated the into a basen
    They squeezed the juice or starch out of them
    Then they kneaded them with their hands and baked the cake on griddle
    They put a cross on it to help the crust to expand
    When it is baked it is brownish in colour
    They also make another cake caled potato cake.
