Jeyes fluid and lime are put in the cabin to prevent diseases such as, ringworm, redmurrain, etc. The cows are tied in the cabin by a "Spancil" or a chain that is the "spancil" or the chain is tied around their necks. A horse's shoe is driven into the wall and the chain is tied to it.The calves are tied by the legs with a rope and the rope is tied to a horse's shoe.
