    There were more houses locally in former times than there are now. Seven of them are now in ruins. Some of their foundations can still be seen. Of others, which were mostly a hundred years built and are over forty years knocked, no trace of any kind can be seen now.
    There are a few hills and a little bog, but all the rest of the land is good.
    There is a wood in Cookstown and it is four acres in area.
