    The land is rich in grass which provides good feeding for store cattle and milk cows. On the other hand the ground is suitable for agriculture; and heavy crops of wheat, barley, oats, potatoes, turnips, etc., are grown.

    There are about thirteen families, including forty people in the townland. The houses are all slated except one, namely Moran's which is thatched. There are a couple of old houses round about and
