- All the children go round in a ring and sing a rhyme and one stands in the middle. There have to be six children. The farmer, The wife, the child, the nurse, the dog, the bone, and the meat.
And they sing.
He High hairy O The farmer wants a wife,
and the one in the middle picks out one for the wife, and then they sing,
