    and the names of fully half of the people who are entered on the Mill books have now disappeared from this district.
    This was told to me by my father N. Butterly. He owns the corn mill in Milltown and he has some old Millbooks.
    I found a mill-book at home and it dates from 1845 - 1897.

  2. The road from Dunleer leading to Togher was made during the famine or maybe before it. The Drumcar road, leading Dillonstown was made in or about the famine.
    The Gallagh Road was made by the Government and it is leading to Grane.
