    There wa a convent up at Cannontown during the penal time. There was a chapter of Cannons there. That is why it is called Cannontown.

    Blessed Oliver Plunket once lived in Termonfeckin. When Oliver Plunket was Archbishop of Armagh he lived in a house where Donnelly's house now stands. There are no ruins of the house now standing except one large stone which stands up against a wall near the river
