  1. There was a lot of travelling folk going around to the houses in this district long ago. These old people used to go around selling articles in baskets. These old people were very poor.
    They used to go around to the houses with baskets selling pins and laces and studs. The people of the district used to buy these things from them. These travellers were welcome at every home in the district and the people would give them a nights lodging. The travellers used to sleep on straw in the barn. They used to have tea and sugar and bread with them. They used to ask the people of the district to boil the
