  1. The Tholsel on which is the town clock of Drogheda was a court house called the record court in the olden days.
    People were tried and sentenced there. Some of the prisoners were tried and sentenced to death.
    Some of the hangings were carried out inside the Thosel but others were carried out in full view of the public.
    The Tholsel is now the Pronvincial Bank of Ireland.
