There is a pond at Roughgrange, Donore, called Poll-a-mhaisin. Some people call it the "Basin Hole" because it is shaped like a basin. - The Poll Buide at Sheephouse, Drogheda, so called because of the colour of the water.The Poll Dubh also at Sheephouse.
