Donohue emigrated to America in the year 1886.
There was formerly a castle in this district called Crumpstown castle which was the original name of this townland, but a family came to it and changed it to Marshallstown. There is no trace of the castle now but the field in which it stood is called the castle field. The land is now occupied by Hugh Farrell.

The townland of Crerogue is separated from the townland of Marshallstown by a lane. There are four families in it -
    Cregan
    Reid
