- (continued from previous page)never saw the cow coming or disappearing. The cow was called "The roan cow of Tribley". This happened about eighty years ago.
- The Churchyard at Assey is guarded by a large black dog with fiery red eyes. He was seen about a year ago by Patrick O'Brien Assey. It was in the spring time and he was going to look after sheep at about twelve or one o'clock. He had to pass by the graveyard and as he passed he noticed the gate was opened and he went to close it.
As he did so he saw this huge black dog coming towards him. It was as large as a donkey and he had his nose to the ground. The gate was closed this time but as the dog came to it it burst open with a terrific noise. Immediately he was outside the gate he disappeared.(continues on next page)- Collector
