- (continued from previous page)I got this from my father Joe Jordan aged 12 years.
An Old Song
“Twas in early November, there was a wedding spree”
Twas early in November, there was a
wedding spree,
And which you all remember, took place at
the Park-buidhe
To the wedding pair, it was only fair, our best respects to pay,
And they got a grand reception, upon their
wedding day.
The music was supplied by Jack Fitzsimons from Killride
And Kavanagh from Rathmore
My brave Tom Bray, with Ann's auld tray.
Kept up the hue and cry
Butty Mick and swragging John, they got rich reward.
They looked far blacker than the jews, that crucified our Lord.- Collector
