    When there is a rainbow in the sky in the evening this foretells that the weather is going to be fine, but when there is a rainbow in the morning this is the sign of rain.
    The wind from the North is very cold and it brings frost and snow, and when it comes from the South it brings warm weather, when it comes from the East that is a sign of cold dry weather, and the wind from the West brings rain.
    When the cat sits with her back to the fire that is a sign of rain, and when the dog leaves his food aside and eats grass this brings wet weather also.
    When spider creeps from its web that is a sign of rain, and when the crickets chirp sharply on the hearth this also foretells that the weather is going to be bad.
