In the year 1934 there was a very heavy snow-storm which lay all over the country. In parts where it was caught by shelter or hedges it lay for weeks four and five feet high.
There was one man near Drogheda caught in a drift. He was obliged to leave his motor car, and he started walking he was caught in another drift, and he was found dead next morning. His name was Mr Tallon, he was a solicitor.
