- (continued from previous page)the month of February, 1907, there was a great storm of wind, and it caused a lot of damage.
This severe storm uprooted a large number of trees, and it knocked down many houses.
Another thunder storm I heard about was in the month of August 1912.
This storm lasted for about two hours and during its course it did a lot of damage, the lightning killed many cattle and other animals.
About ten years ago there was a severe storm of rain, all the land in the country was flooded and many people suffered from hunger, as they could not travel through the floods of water to get food.
I also heard an old saying that if it rains on St. Swithin's day it would remain raining for forty days after this feast.(continues on next page)- Collector
