    He used to teach and speak Irish, and the children used to speak Irish also.
    There were never any blackboards used and the writing was done on slates with slate pencils.
    One school I know is Tullaghanstown which was built in the year 1845, and the name of the first teacher who taught there was Mr. Madden who lived in a house beside the school.
