    the centre with a big mound of earth around it. The people say the fairies danced on it.
    Another field we have is called the "Night" field. I suppose it got its name because it was a safe field for sheep dropping lambs at night. There is hardly a farm but has a field of that name - a safe field with no dangerous ditches around it.
    The is another field in Derlangan called Flemming's meadow. A family of that name emigrated in the famine times in year 1847.
    Old people tell us that there are crocks of gold hidden under the great rocks or stones in fields all over the country. At that time people hid their money in hiding places, because there were no banks then.
