would be the most common name in Tullaghanstown as there are about two families of the same name and two again and again I dont know three families of the same name.
The majority of the houses are thatched. There are not many very old people living in it now but up to a few years ago there were men and women who were up to ninty years old. The oldest people in it now do not know Irish.
Tullaghanstown must have been a very populated district in gone by days there are only patches of land or very small fields between each holding and a lot of ruins of houses are still to be seen.
Young people emigrated as they could not live on the land because it was in years gone because it was a boggy district They lived more on its produce than on the produce from the land.
