    down a street shouting Mouse-traps, mouse-traps for sale, who'll buy my mouse-traps."
It happened that the Angelus rang out and the louder the bell tolled the higher the man cried "mouse-traps". The local priest happened to be passing by, "Why do'nt you stop your screaming, John, and say your prayers," says he. "Every man to his own trade, your reverance," says John. The priest went on his way and John went on selling his mouse-traps.
