- At Loyde there was a man of the name Molloy. He was a very bad man. He was head of the Yoe men who illtreated the Catholics. When he was even dead, of a fair day he would jump with his horse out of the ditch, and jump on the cars. He would not let the people pass but would jump on them and kill them.
Some person told the Kells priest about it, and the priest came out with servers and holy water. He nearly bested the priest only the boy kept holy water with him. The priest wet seven towels with sweat before he settled him. He is now called the bocleagh or buck at Loyde. He is settled between the froth and the water.
