- Moynalty and Moybolouge are the two oldest grave-yards in the district.Moynalty was used in the year 1690 after the battle of the Boyne. There were a family called Beatys living in Gravelstown and their lands were confiscated and they were buried in Moynalty. Tuckers and Rathbornes valuls date from 1700.It is said that there are princes and noble people buried in Moybolouge and that is the reason the people will not close it. There is a graveyard in Cormeen where all Protestants bury. Unbaptised children were buried along the walks in the graveyards.
