There are several places also called after people who lived in them. There were four houses between here + Gravelmount. One was owned by people by the name of Carolan. Another was owned by Barney Callaghan or Black John. There was another house owned by Paddy Dicks or Brian. A man of the name of Free lived at Gravelmount. From the cross of Knock, to the bridge of the Cloghan river there was a woman by the name of Mary Hill buried in Knock churchyard.
