aged 13 years - Food in the olden times Long ago people used to be out very early in the morning they would be out in the field at day break and would eat their breakfast in the field which they would bring with them and it would consist of thick "Stirrabout and if they had not that a few roasted potatoes and they would bring them in a woolen stocking.
For their dinner some would have potatoes and cabbage and bacon and others if they had not that they would have "Subbrigon" and it is made of a raw egg and boiling water on it and salt and they would eat potatoes(continues on next page)- Collector
