    There are also a certain way for feeding the Turkeys. First of all they would get nettles, sparement, and Dockins. Then a pot of very thin oatmeal porridge would be cooked and the nettles, sparement, and Dockins would be mixed through it.
    Long ago horses were not used for ploughing instead very old cows or bullocks were used. There is a story about a cow which is as follows. About a hundred and twenty years ago there was a man named Peter McGrath living in the village of Coole. He owned two cows which he had grazing on the hill of Mayne. The cows reduced in their milk and then the man thought that some body was milking them before him. One morning he decided to go before day break and watch the cows so he went and lay in ambush close to where the cows were grazing. After a while he saw what resembled a hare come in to the field. It went and sucked the two cows. He resolved to keep quiet as he had no dog or any other means of catching the thief. He came home and told his stoy to a neighbouring man who had
