well there. Crowds used to come to Corawell on the first Sunday in August until not many years ago.

A local poet wrote the song Corawell

    (I)
Sunbeam glance o'er lake and fountain
    Wavelets on the pebbles play,
Soft winds blow o'er heathy mountains,
    Songbirds sing on every spray
Butterflies are lighty flitting o'er the primrose and bluebell,
Still my heart is sad while sitting
    Here alone by Corawell
    (II)
Where are all the lads and lasses
    Oft assembled here of yore,
Dancing on the soft green grasses
    Far from Derravaragh's Shore
Far away from dear old Ireland
Forced to flee by tyrants fell
From their homes, their friends, and sireland
    Lonely now is Corawell
    (III)

As I sit here entranced I'm listening
    To the pipers' merry strains
