    were supposed to be able to write poetry but they did not.
    There are a good many songs which he made such as "Sweet Jessie, the Main of the Mill", "The Belles of Whitehall", "The butter-making Class", "The Spraying Machine" and "Cora Well".
    The best known of them all is "Cora Well". he composed all his song in English.
    This poet was a farmer. He could both read and write. The local people looked on him as a good honest man.
    No powers were attributed to this poet. He never tried to hunt rats or any such things from houses.
    The song which is mostly sung is "Cora Well".
    The alliteration in all the "Long Fellow's" songs was very remarkable. It is said that his best song was "Sweet Jessie the Maid of the Mill".
