  1. About eighty years ago there lived in this locality three brothers named Bacons, Johnny Nicholas and Owen. These chaps thought they were very suple, suple enough to catch a hare. There was another man living next door who used to tell Johnny that neither of them was able to catch an old lame duck. "Well" said Johnny "I'll prove it to you to-morrow Bill"
