  1. My grandfather used to make many things, sally baskets, sally chairs, potato baskets cleeves and turf baskets. He could also make noggins out of pieces of wood. He used scoop the piece of wood and cut it into shape and plane it with a small plane to make it real fine and dress it off with sandpaper. Then he used get little hoops and put them on and fasten them with a nail. When he used be making the baskets he used have salley round a piece of a stick.
