    The Potatoe Crop
    Each year we sow an acre of potatoes. The man who works in our house prepares the ground with a plough.
    We sow the potatoes in drills. At first we open the drills with a plough. Then we cut the seed potatoes. After that we put the seed potatoes on the cart and bring them to the field.
    At first we open the drills with a plough. Then we drop the potatoes in the drills about ten inches apart. After that we cover the potatoes with dung. Then we finish the sowing of the potatoes by closing the drills.
    During the summer the potatoes have to be well minded. We grub the potatoes during that time. After that we hoe down the potatoes and mould them. Then we get Ennis's Sprayer and spray them.
    When the Autumn comes we plough out the potatoes. Then we hire three men to pick them. We store the good potatoes and seed in pits for themselves. We bring home the
