    Local Happenings.
    Joe Molloy from Clonfad was working at Seery's West Lodge. He used to go home across Heathfield bog. One dark night he was getting from the high banks to the low banks and he slipped into the river. He was there for ten days until my father and Mick Molloy found him.
    My smaller brother Kiernan Geraghty got drowned in a shore. It was a frosty morning and he went out with a fork to prod the ice on the water. The fork slipped out of his hand and went in on the ice. When he went in after it the ice broke down and he was drowned.
    It was myself that found him.
    donnborden house was burned one time. a person came one day in a motor and set fire to it.
    One time Brian Sheerin sold a load of oats in the market. He came home by Wallace's and got mad drunk. He
